Collection: THE PERENNIAL COLLECTION
The Perennial Collection is inspired by my South African roots. The unfussy silhouettes of the vases and flower bricks reference the simplicity of 17th-century Cape Dutch agrarian buildings - the dovecotes, water towers and grain silos of the farming landscape. The pieces have a whimsical, handmade charm. Their tiered, stacked forms were inspired by the highly-decorated, towering 16th and 17th century Dutch Tulipieres used to display the then-prized tulips “ synonymous with Dutch Golden Age of art and prosperity.
The Perennial Collection pieces are made in a creamy stoneware clay and finished in a soft, matte glaze.
